YO'S WEEK 10 PICKS

WEEK 10 IS HERE!  WEEK 10 IS HERE!!

That's right folks!  Week 10 is here!  The teams on a bye week this week are the Baltimore Ravens, the Kansas City Chiefs, the Oakland Raiders, and the Philadelphia Eagles.  Let's get into the game breakdowns and see what the games have in store.

GREEN BAY PACKERS VS CHICAGO BEARS:

If the one player you lose the rest of the season is your elite QB, the rest of the season can be called a wash.  That is what it is looking like for the Packers.  The loss of Aaron Rodgers has this team in complete turmoil.  Offense is missing their best play maker in him.  On the defensive end, the pass rush is awful.  Chicago is not in a better situation, but they are playing at home and without sufficient weapons for their rookie QB Mitchell Trubisky, their expectations are not high.  Picking against the Packers is not the norm.  Edge to the home team.

Chicago Bears

CLEVELAND BROWNS VS DETROIT LIONS:

There is really no breakdown here.

PITTSBURGH STEELERS VS INDIANAPOLIS COLTS:

The Steelers are on a roll.  Let QB Ben Roethlisberger do his thing with the outstanding weapons he has and any hope that the Colts might have will be sadly removed.  The rumor now is that everything going on with Colts QB Andrew Luck is all in his head.  Well, it does not really matter.  The Colts are on to thinking about next season.

Pittsburgh Steelers

LOS ANGELES CHARGERS VS JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS:

RB Leonard Fournette is back for real this week!  The Jaguars will appreciate his skill against the Chargers defense.  Even though this is an evenly matched game, the lack of confidence in Chargers QB Phillip Rivers to close out the game is what gives the edge to the Jags.  The Lightning Bolts will once again be that "almost win" team this afternoon.

NEW ORLEANS SAINTS VS BUFFALO BILLS:

New Orleans has had quite the hot hand with six straight wins.  Buffalo has not been half bad either.  Buffalo's offense is not as strong as Drew Brees and company.  QB Tyrod Taylor has had success with RB LeSean McCoy, WRs Jordan Matthews, Andre Holmes, and new addition Kelvin Benjamin, but will it be enough to keep the Saints' offense at bay?  This should be an awesome matchup.

New Orleans Saints

NEW YORK JETS VS TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS:

UGH!!!  Did Hard Knocks featuring the Tampa Bay Buccaneers reel you in this season?  Did the idea that they were contenders cross your mind?  Well, it looks like it was smoke and mirrors.  The Bucs do not seem to be living up to what is on paper.  New York had their run and now look like the team everyone knew they would be.  This looks like a toss up.  Going to flip a coin here.

New York Jets

MINNESOTA VIKINGS VS WASHINGTON REDSKINS:

What a win last week for the Redskins!  No such luck this week though.  The Vikings defense is the key here.  They will slow Redskins QB Kirk Cousins down.  It will not be an easy win for the Vikes though.  The Redskins seem to stick around in games and bother teams just enough to get a win at times.  Coming off of a bye week and the news of Teddy Bridgewater back gives the Vikes the upper hand here.

Minnesota Vikings

CINCINNATI BENGALS VS TENNESSEE TITANS:

Kickers rejoice!  That is who will probably win this game for their team.  If the Titans can make a couple of key defensive plays like they have over the past couple of games, they should be able to keep the long enough for their offense to produce some kind of points.  The Bengals inconsistency will be their downfall.

HOUSTON TEXANS VS LOS ANGELES RAMS:

Tom Savage was clearly upset when they handed the reins over to rookie QB Deshaun Watson earlier this season in Houston.  Now, it's his time to show the team why he should be QB1.  How is that looking?  There is no upside here for the Texans against a Rams team that is running up the score like a college team.  The Rams new coach Sean McVey is building a team worthy of a deep playoff run with QB Jared Goff and RB Todd Gurley working like a well-oiled machine.  At least the Astros won the World Series, right?

Los Angeles Rams

DALLAS COWBOYS VS ATLANTA FALCONS:

Atlanta and Matt Ryan are missing Kyle Shanahan right about now.  Even with RB Ezekiel Elliott finally serving his six week suspension starting this week, Dallas is playing with intensity on both sides of the ball.  There will be a drop off at the running back position with the loss of Zeke, but Alfred Morris will fill in nicely.  The Falcons cannot seem to connect with each other out there.  Any type of defensive pressure causes Matty Ice to make mistakes.  Look for the Dem Boyz to take advantage.

Dallas Cowboys

NEW YORK GIANTS VS SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS:

YAWN.  Since a pick must be made, here you go.

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS VS DENVER BRONCOS:

As a rule, QB Tom Brady will do whatever an elite QB needs to do to get his team the win.  Overcoming a less than exciting defense, the Patriots offense has been getting it done this season.  Denver has not been good on either side of the ball this season.  Flashes in the pan of greatness during the game did not leave them with the win at the end of the game. There needs to be consistency at the QB position.  Defense for the Broncos would make some plays, but it will not be enough to stop Brady and company.

If only the football gods would shine down on my picks this week!  LOL!  Not too many must see games this week, but they have to be played and I am happy to pick them.  What do you think?  Good luck with your teams and picks!
