This week started with a bang and it does not included the two teams playing tonight.  The New York Giants will play this Sunday's game without Eli Manning as their starting quarterback.  That's a story my colleague and I will cover on our podcast.  Now, on to the big rivalry game being played tonight.

This is one of the storied rivalries in sports history.  The second matchup between these two teams looks much different than the first.  Injuries plague both teams on defense.  Dallas will have left tackle Tyron Smith back, but will still be without the services of linebacker Sean Lee.  Washington will have left tackle Trent Williams, but will be without tight end Jordan Reed.  The Redskins best bet is to force Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott to pass.  The Cowboys secondary will be a who's who of defensive players as they scramble to overcome injuries.  Because of that secondary, the Skins should be able to take advantage using running back Samaje Perine and quarterback Kirk Cousins favorite target wide receiver Jamison Crowder.  If the Skins defense has one of those playmaking games, Cowboys running back Alfred Morris will not be much of a factor.  It is obvious that Prescott is not the same quarterback without running back Ezekiel Elliott on the field.  In a rivalry that Dallas leads 60-38, it is safe to safe that they will hold that lead, but not get the win.

Washington Redskins

I do not want to say this is a no brainer, but since Zeke's suspension, Dallas has been going down in flames.  Dallas does tend to play up to Washington whenever they meet, so you never know.  Whoever wins will keep their playoff hopes alive though.  That's my call.  Good luck to your teams and picks!
