It feels like we just finished with week 3. I pray this pick starts a week of better choices for me. Last week was upsetting. On a short week for both of tonight's teams, this is a storied division rivalry that gets fans from both sides riled up. Tonight's meeting will be at Lambeau Field. These are my thoughts on the first matchup between these teams.
CHICAGO BEARS VS GREEN BAY PACKERS:
The Packers will be getting most of their injured players back for tonight's game. They will still be missing a reliable right and left tackle which means protecting "Discount Double Check," Aaron Rodgers, will be difficult. If Rodgers is able to get the pass game going, his receiving core should be able to dominate the game.
The Bears will rely on what has worked for them (albeit for one win), which is the run game. That may not be saying much for Bears quarterback, Mike Glennon. The Packers defensive backs are a bit undersized for the Bears running attack of Jordan Howard and Tarik Cohen. It will definitely be a battle of wills in one of the best rivalries in football.
The series is currently tied at 94-94-6. Green Bay has not been ahead in the series since 1932. As it has been said before, the Packers win at Lambeau. Rolling the dice, I say they win again. The Pack will take their first series lead in more than 70 years.
That's just what I think folks. I will admit, I rarely pick against my Packers! Hopefully, this will be one of the more interesting Thursday night games for the NFL. I welcome all comments/opinions. Good luck to your teams and picks this week!
