WEEK 15 MNF: NEW ORLEANS SAINTS vs CAROLINA PANTHERS

Here we are at the Carolina game. Rest assured there are no playoff implications here for the Panthers except trying to sabotage New Orleans chances at a first round bye. Carolina has a great home record, but at this point, it does not mean a thing. Here is what I think about the game under the lights tonight.

NEW ORLEANS SAINTS vs CAROLINA PANTHERS:

As mentioned above, New Orleans is trying to get that first round bye by securing a win here in Carolina. Carolina, on the other hand, is crumbling before everyone. Drew Brees and company will not find it hard to take advantage of Cam Newton’s mistakes. This is not to say that the Panthers will not be in the game. They just will not be able to finish the Saints off like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers failed to do last week. The Saints have had their struggles the past couple of weeks, but will surely use a win over Carolina to boost morale. Carolina is far removed from the team that went to the Super Bowl in 2015. The Panthers could play spoiler here, but will not.

New Orleans Saints

That is how I am finishing out the week. Certainly there was an exciting game or two this weekend, especially that Saturday Cleveland Browns/Denver Broncos game. Let me know what you think. Good luck to your teams and picks!

YO's WEEK 11 PICKS

That Thursday night game hurt me to my soul, but this is football and the season holds no prisoners. There are some pretty decent matchups this week. This is the last of the bye weeks as well. Those teams taking a break are Buffalo, Cleveland, Miami, New York Jets, New England, and San Francisco. I am going to make this a quick pick week. The games are afoot!

CINCINNATI BENGALS vs BALTIMORE RAVENS:

The Ravens have been a let down the past few weeks. Their defense cannot play the entire game. Let’s hope that Jo Flacco can get the engines started on offense because the Bengals are on a mission after that blow out loss to the Saints last week.

Baltimore Ravens

DALLAS COWBOYS vs ATLANTA FALCONS:

Dallas was a little lucky last week. Yeah, lucky. They will not have that against Atlanta though. Atlanta is still trying to compete and is starting to look like it too. Matt Ryan has better weapons and knows how to use them.

Atlanta Falcons

TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS vs NEW YORK GIANTS:

The boo-birds might be out for this one in New York for their own team. Eli Manning is no match for Ryan Fitzpatrick in a shoot out. Fitzpatrick likes to air it out and there is nothing that the Giants defense can do about it. With so much talent in New York it is a shame that their on field performance is so awful. That will allow the Bucs to get one up north.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

PITTSBURGH STEELERS vs JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS:

Apparently Leonard Fournette was not the answer to the Jaguars prayers. It is a shame that the Jags have to depend on Blake Bortles to NOT make mistakes to even have a chance in games. The Jags defense may make it a little tough for the Steelers, but Ben Roethlisberger has his team on a roll. They will make adjustments and get this one on the road.

Pittsburgh Steelers

HOUSTON TEXANS vs WASHINGTON REDSKINS:

Houston is really firing on all cylinders right now. Everyone is healthy and making big plays. There is doubt as to whether or not Washington will be able to keep up. Although Alex Smith is great at not turning the ball over, this Texans defense could change that. The Redskins defense is a banged up and may not be able to withstand the thriving offense of Deshaun Watson. This should be an exciting game.

TENNESSEE TITANS vs INDIANAPOLIS COLTS:

The Titans did get one over the Patriots last week. That would lead one to believe that they could get one easily over the Colts, right? Andrew Luck may have something to say about that. Indianapolis has been on a winning streak of their own and improving with each win. This is going to be a tough one.

Indianapolis Colts

CAROLINA PANTHERS vs DETROIT LIONS:

Detroit has a way of showing up for games like this and making it hard to decide who to pick. Carolina is on redemption road after that massacre on Thursday night last week at the hands of Pittsburgh. The Panthers like to start out and slow and build up to their wins. Hopefully, this will hold true and the Detroit defense will not be able to stop them.

Carolina Panthers

DENVER BRONCOS vs LOS ANGELES CHARGERS:

Nice battle in the division here! Denver is lacking on offense with Case Keenum. The defense is not fairing any better. Broncos will raise their level of play, but the Chargers will come out victorious.

Los Angeles Chargers

OAKLAND RAIDERS vs ARIZONA CARDINALS:

Let’s see here. There is absolutely nothing at stake in this game. Let’s take a chance and make the pick no one wants to make.

Oakland Raiders

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES vs NEW ORLEANS SAINTS:

Yeah, well, New Orleans is on the ultimate mission right now. Drew Brees continues to make history. Carson Wentz and the Eagles are going to just be a part of that this season. Wentz is improving, but not enough to challenge the Saints defense. It should not be that ugly, but there is potential.

MINNESOTA VIKINGS vs CHICAGO BEARS:

This game has meaning. Both teams are ready for action. Chicago looks to continue their success this season behind Mitchell Trubisky. Minnesota could make it hard with that offense talent they bolster. The Vikes have a few more offensive players than the Bears defense can cover. Khalid Mack cannot be everywhere, can he? This could come down to the wire. Is it possible for it to end in a tie?

Minnesota Vikings

What do yo think? I am looking forward to another great day of football. This week starts to countdown to who is in, who is on the bubble, and who is out. Get your analytics ready to see what your team needs to dance. Good luck to your teams and picks!

WEEK 10 TNF: CAROLINA PANTHERS vs PITTSBURGH STEELERS

These teams will not let me be great! LOL! So I went 10-3 for last week. Geez! That NFC East sold me out! CURSES!! On to the next week then. THIS Thursday night game should have the enthusiasm that we are all looking for in a football contest. Both teams are on a roll and they are pretty damn convincing. It is going to be difficult to choose, but I will attempt to if you read on.

CAROLINA PANTHERS vs PITTSBURGH STEELERS:

As mentioned earlier, these teams are on a roll. Pittsburgh has won four straight and at the top of their division. Carolina has won three of the last four and second behind the New Orleans Saints in their division. For the Steelers, the worry of not having Le’Veon Bell has not effected them. James Connor did not look worthy at first, but has slowly come into his own as a solid running back. Bell has been rumored to be leaving Miami, where he has been working out. Will he or won’t he sign? He might not even be activated when he gets back. Either way, a game still has to be played. The Panthers have been up and down in games, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Cam Newton, Christian McCaffrey and Devin Funchess have been quite effective on offense. These two teams are so evenly matched, it is hard to give either the edge. If it comes down to the last seconds, look for Carolina to take it. If not, root, root, root for the home team.

Pittsburgh Steelers

Crossing my fingers on this one. I have been switching back and forth. I know it is going to be a good game though. Who ya got? Good luck to your teams and picks!
